Magnetic Jewelry Box Case Study: Closure Consistency
A project-based case study showing the packaging requirement, the development decision, the quality-control focus and the reported project result.
Project Overview
| Box Structure |
Book-style magnetic rigid box |
| Board |
1200gsm rigid board |
| Outer Paper |
157g coated paper |
| Insert |
Black flocked EVA |
| Finishing |
Full color, double-sided scratch-resistant film, silver foil |
| Main Concern |
Inconsistent magnetic closure |
| Closure Solution |
N35 magnets + positioning fixture + 48-hour closure test |
| Result |
Consistent closure; repeat order 3 months later |
The Challenge
The buyer needed consistent magnetic closure performance for a premium jewelry box.
Structural & Material Solution
N35 magnets were used with a positioning fixture, followed by a 48-hour closure test to verify the revised closure configuration.
Key Improvement
The closure was treated as a controlled functional component: magnet specification, position and test condition were considered together.
Quality Control
Checks covered magnet positioning, closure behavior, box alignment, EVA fit, printing, scratch-resistant film and silver foil.
GooinPack's current packaging workflow places quality control after approved requirements, sampling and production. Current QC information covers materials, printing, dimensions, structure, finishing, insert fit, assembly and final inspection. View Packaging Quality Control.
