Premium Face Cream Magnetic Box Case Study: Load-Bearing Insert
A project-based case study showing the packaging requirement, the development decision, the quality-control focus and the reported project result.
Project Overview
| Box Structure |
Book-style magnetic rigid box |
| Board |
1200gsm rigid board |
| Outer Paper |
157gsm coated paper |
| Insert |
Black flocked EVA |
| Finishing |
Full-color double-sided printing, double-sided scratch-resistant film, spot UV |
| Main Concern |
Heavy face cream bottle caused insert sinking |
| Improvement |
Higher EVA density + rigid board support under insert + load-bearing test |
| Result |
No insert sinking; repeat order 3 months later |
The Challenge
The face cream bottle was heavy enough to create a risk of insert sinking under load.
Structural & Material Solution
EVA density was increased, rigid board support was added underneath the insert, and a load-bearing test was used to confirm the revised configuration.
Key Improvement
The insert was engineered as a load-bearing component rather than only a presentation element.
Quality Control
Checks covered insert density, support-board position, bottle fit, load-bearing behavior, printing, film, spot UV and assembly.
GooinPack's current packaging workflow places quality control after approved requirements, sampling and production. Current QC information covers materials, printing, dimensions, structure, finishing, insert fit, assembly and final inspection. View Packaging Quality Control.
Project Result
